Re-connecting to my True Self

Josephine Dumont — “I am joyful,
I am playful,
I am magical,
I am cheeky,
I am loveable”

This is me, roughly 5 years old.

My saboteurs have not yet fully formed, though they have already started to try and protect me from what was going on back then. It is not easy to look back at it today, as an adult, and to try and see my essence, true self, or sage.

My saboteurs would immediately kick in and judge this little girl for how she looks, for who she is, the mistakes she will do later, and and and.

But!

Every time I look at this picture again, I can see more and more of that essence coming through. It's a slow process, yet so rewarding. With each time, the judgment and focus on flaws decreases and I can see that girl for who she really is.

I can see that she is:

joyful
playful
cheeky
adorable
curious
vulnerable
compassionate
magical
and most importantly: loveable.

I am loveable, and all these other things.

This is hitting deep, and I feel vulnerable with sharing this one here, however, I find it is also so important to own these feelings and who we were, are, and always will be: unique human beings.
