Be open to seeing the good in the bad

Josephine Dumont, Mindset Coach

Sometimes things may not work out as expected, but how this is affecting us/our mood is totally up to how we take and perceive it.

We could be sad and down because it didn’t work out and therefore maybe hold a grudge against someone (or even ourselves) and write it all off as disappointing.

But we could also focus on what we learned and what new opportunities may be able to open up now that this didn’t work out.

If we go at it from a mindset of “well it wasn’t meant to be”, we let go of certain expectations and are open for something better to happen.

Take a moment and think back to when something bad happened, for example, you lost your job, someone you thought is a friend lied to you or you hurt yourself during training.

Now reflect if it actually was all that bad and think what good might have come out of it.

I personally have never ever NOT been able to find something positive out of a seemingly negative situation.

  • I burnt out, and I learned to connect with my values and put myself and well-being first.

  • I lost contact with people I thought were friends, but life started to feel lighter without them.

  • I got rejected for jobs, because there was a better one waiting for me.

Whatever happens to/around us does not have power over our state of happiness if we don’t attach it to it.

If you want to learn the art of letting go whilst also raising your base level of happiness, send me a message and I show you how.

NamaStay powerful
